Intermediate decorating skills with cakes, cupcakes, and cookies.
Schedule:
Friday-Tuesday 10am-6pm
Starting wage and raises are dependent upon experience and portfolio. Tips add an average of $1.50-$2.00 / hour additional take home pay depending on sales volumes.
All Bernice’s Decorators will train for a minimum of 3 months on our front of house staff to ensure appropriate product knowledge.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Decorator
- Fill customer special orders by decorating cakes, cupcakes and cookies
- Package, label, and properly store finished product
- Maintain a cleans and safe work environment
- Adhere to health and safety regulations by maintaining product freshness and sanitation
- Meet time goals as set forth by the cake team manager
- Deliver cakes directly to customers, when necessary
- Provide courteous service to customers, when necessary
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Is courteous, friendly, and pleasant
- Exhibits skill using decorating bags, tips, bench knives, spatulas, mixers, etc.
- Is able to perform simple math problems to follow recipes.
- Demonstrates artistic ability and a basic understanding of color theory.
- Can flat frost sugar cookies
- Demonstrates full ability to crumb cakes

We are currently accepting resumes for a part-time (32+ hours) Croissant Dough Maker. The shift is responsible for the production of our Croissant dough, along with Parker House Rolls and Twists made from that dough. Previous professional baking experience is preferred, but not necessary for the right applicant.
Schedule is as follows:
- Days Vary
- Shifts are (typically) 4pm-midnight

Primary Duties include the mixing and manipulation of Croissant dough, along with forming Twists and Parker House Rolls out of that dough.
Secondary Duties include maintaining a clean, organized workspace, and participating in the execution of other assorted team duties.
*Baking experience not required but welcomed.

We’re currently looking for a full time dishwasher! If you’re new to the baking industry, but are looking for a good place to start, this is the position for you! Baking experience not required but welcomed.
Scheduling:
8:00 am-4pm
Sunday-Thursday
Primary duties include: maintaining a sanitary work environment, washing and sanitizing both bakery and dining room dishes, putting away clean dishes, assisting bakers when necessary
Secondary Duties include: assisting the treat bakers, lunch chef and decorators.
Desired skills: people person, positive attitude, hard working, self initiative, ability to work independently, strong attention to detail, be able to lift 25lb and life long learner
