Intermediate decorating skills with cakes, cupcakes, and cookies.
Schedule:
Friday-Tuesday 10am-6pm
Starting wage and raises are dependent upon experience and portfolio. Tips add an average of $1.50-$2.00 / hour additional take home pay depending on sales volumes.
All Bernice’s Decorators will train for a minimum of 3 months on our front of house staff to ensure appropriate product knowledge.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Decorator
- Fill customer special orders by decorating cakes, cupcakes and cookies
- Package, label, and properly store finished product
- Maintain a cleans and safe work environment
- Adhere to health and safety regulations by maintaining product freshness and sanitation
- Meet time goals as set forth by the cake team manager
- Deliver cakes directly to customers, when necessary
- Provide courteous service to customers, when necessary
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Is courteous, friendly, and pleasant
- Exhibits skill using decorating bags, tips, bench knives, spatulas, mixers, etc.
- Is able to perform simple math problems to follow recipes.
- Demonstrates artistic ability and a basic understanding of color theory.
- Can flat frost sugar cookies
- Demonstrates full ability to crumb cakes

We are currently accepting resumes for a full-time (32+ hours) dishwasher.
Schedule is as follows:
- 5 days (Sunday-Thursday)
- 8am-4pm
Primary Duties include cutting and baking sugar cookies, dish washing, weighing ingredients for recipes, prepping glazes and fills, general cleaning and sanitation, other bakery duties as assigned
Secondary Duties include assisting the cake bakers, front of house staff, and lunch chef.
Desired skills: Ability to be a team player and independent worker, positive attitude, fast work pace, self initiative, and life long learner.
