Marie Antoinette Was Ahead of the CurveOf course, we’re talking about cake here. Bernice’s has been creating cakes from scratch, with love and butter, for more than 15 years. Our menu is built around five basic cake layers: Chocolate, White Wine, Cream, and Poppyseed. Using one, or sometimes more, of these cake layers as a foundation, we then chose from over 30 different fillings and frostings to assemble cakes of undeniable flavor and character , from simple to wild. Each Cake ( a combination of specific of layer, filling, frosting, and decor) is available in a variety of sizes, so that you can have enough for any size Birthday, Anniversary, or Office Party. Now would be the time to mention the heretofore tightly held secret behind what makes Bernice’s cakes so good. We never cut a corner. All of our fillings, frostings, and toppings are made fresh, from scratch. Actual Lemons are juiced to make the Lemon Curd. Real Raspberries are cooked down and squeezed out by hand to make the Raspberry Puree. The Chocolate Ganache has two ingredients and is made in small batches to ensure great taste and freshness. There are dozens more, and it’s a lot of work. But, we believe that when every part of a finished cake is made with this kind of care and attention to detail, that the results are worth the extra effort.
